Mount Everest Base camp (Nepal) is more than a mountain and the journey to its base camp is more than just a trek. Every bend in the trail provides another photo opportunity — beautiful forests, Sherpa villages, glacial moraines, and foothills. My  daughter and I reached Mt Everest Base camp at 12h20 on 9th May 2008 and had Apple Pie and Cinnamon Rolls at the “highest”bakery in the world !

Machu Picchu (Peru) is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba River valley. Built in the 15th century and later abandoned. In 2011 my daughter and I  celebrated the 100th anniversary  of the discovery of Machu Picchu with a trip there.
